The future of trucking is here — and Best Transportation is proud to be part of it.

We recently completed a two-week demonstration of Tesla’s fully electric Semi, integrating it into our day-to-day operations to evaluate its performance in real-world conditions.

During the demo, our drivers successfully moved fully loaded containers through the Port of NY/NJ, delivered to customer locations across our region, and returned empty containers to terminals — all with the Tesla Semi.

This experience marks an exciting step forward in our commitment to sustainability and innovation. At Best Transportation, we are focused on building a cleaner future by adding more zero-emission trucks to our fleet and reducing our carbon footprint — while also supporting the sustainability goals of our partners, the Port of NY/NJ, and our customers’ supply chains.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy came to NJ to meet with truckers for National Truck Drivers Appreciation Week, at the Molly Pitcher Rest Stop in Cranbury, NJ yesterday; to hear our concerns and to show truckers his support and appreciation. Tom Heimgartner, President of Best Transportation was on hand to meet with Secretary Duffy along with long time Best Transportation Driver Kevin Conklin. Best was able to speak with the Secretary and voice some trucking industry concerns. Thank you Secretary Sean Duffy and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Tom Heimgartner is the owner of Best Transportation and started Best as the solo truck driver with one truck in 1982. He still holds a CDL Class A and you can still find him on the road, driving a truck, making a delivery. Once a trucker - always a trucker!

Best Transportation remembers and honors the nearly 3,000 victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Our fellow American's who simply went to work that beautiful morning, the heroic civilians who stood up to look evil in the face in the skies over our nation, and the astonishing bravery of the our first responders, who risked it all and gave their lives that tragic day. We remember.
