I wasn’t born to be rich. I say this all the time.
I’ve been very lucky in life. I’m not rich, but I have a good life. And honestly, I don’t relate to rich people at all.
Sitting at a table with them can be really difficult for me because there are so many things I want to say about inequality and privilege. But they would never truly understand it.
It’s not that they’re bad people, or that they’re better or worse than anyone else. They simply live in a bubble that doesn’t allow them to see the real world.
If your life ever changes for the better…and I truly hope it does…never forget where you came from.
Stay humble.
