• Artworks, publications & media exempt from IEEPA tariffs as “informational materials”
• Sculptures & artworks not impacted by Section 232 steel/aluminum tariffs
• Antiques, modern furniture & decorative arts not exempt from IEEPA tariffs
• Items from Mainland China remain subject to Section 301 tariffs (7.5% on art & antiques)

General Tariff Changes:
• Pharmaceuticals: 100% | Heavy Trucks: 25% | Household Cabinets: 50% | Upholstered Furniture: 30%
• Japan: Reciprocal tariffs capped at 15% (aligned with EU goods)
• Brazil: Additional 40%, effective rate ~50%
• India: Additional 25%, effective rate ~50%
• Section 232 Steel & Aluminum: Hundreds of additional items, including furniture and products using steel/aluminum packaging

At Masterpiece, our hearts are with the communities in Southern California impacted by the devastating wildfires and those in the Southeast still recovering from Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.

Through our Imperative CARES initiative, we’ve made donations to organizations directly providing relief to first responders and affected individuals. These include:

Our New York City office team members recently supported the Sugar Plum Sled initiative. They wrapped gifts, made bows, and wrote heartfelt cards.

The Sled’s mission is to provide year-round assistance to low-income NYC public school students, with nearly 90% being homeless or temporarily housed. They deliver personalized assistance to children and families identified by school professionals and social welfare experts. The Sugar Plum Sled holiday drive launches during Thanksgiving and continues until the New Year, coordinating with school officials to fulfill the holiday wishes of these students. Recently, our New York office had the privilege of spending a beautifully sunny fall day with The Connected Chef, packing boxes of fresh vegetables for their weekly community distribution. Together, we packaged and delivered 125 grocery boxes, making a positive impact on local families.

A special thanks to Omar, Co-Founder & Operations Director, who also shared his vision of expanding to distribute an additional 125 boxes per week. We are inspired by The Connected Chef's mission to ensure dignified food access for all and to build a community-controlled food system in Queens.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported this incredible initiative. We look forward to more opportunities to collaborate and make a difference together.

Last week we sponsored and attended the 2024 European Registrars Conference (ERC) in Rome!

After 22 years, ERC returned to this iconic city of history and culture, bringing together a passionate community to exchange ideas and experiences from many global perspectives. Key topics included post-covid couriers, the future of sea and rail shipments, and sustainable exhibitions. Additionally, we explored the future of registrars, the code of ethics, and new territories and heritage. We had an incredible time discussing these critical trends and innovations in our field.

We were excited to give away our Masterpiece cross-body bags and an iPad to one lucky attendee! Thank you to everyone who joined us and made ERC 2024 unforgettable! Check out some photos of our team in action.

Our Chicago offices came together for a heartwarming volunteer activity, supporting Macyn’s Jars by stuffing jars with toys to help children and adults with special needs find comfort while they wait in hospitals, fire stations, and police stations.

Celebrating 35 Years of Excellence!

As we mark this significant milestone, we are overwhelmed with pride for the magnificent journey Masterpiece has undertaken over the past 35 years.

Reflecting on our beginnings, it’s incredible to think back to when we embarked on this adventure—starting at the original World Trade Center. We were on a high wire, without a net, fueled by hard work and an unwavering determination to succeed.

Our success, however, is owed to the extraordinary team that has remained with us throughout this journey. The photo below captures an iconic moment from the early 90s—a team picture from our office at 90 Washington Street, where we were all sporting khakis, Ralph Lauren polos, and perfecting “the stare”! Many of these "Masterpiecers," are still with us today.
