Bread Drop #2 lands in Midtown THIS FRIDAY! 🥖

Missing proper Aussie bread? Bakers Delight trades as COBS Bread in the US, and the best bakery is in Stamford, Connecticut. Not everyone can get out to CT for bread on a whim, so we built a workaround.

You order online ahead of time. COBS Bread bakes everything fresh on Friday morning, our friends at Airtasker drive it into the city, and I hand it to you in person at Isla & Co. in Midtown. Isla & Co. is an Australian-inspired cafe started by a Perth-born owner, so you'll be in very good company.

It's not a delivery service and it's not a shop. It's a pop-up pickup. All 31 products come to every drop, loaves come pre-sliced, and nothing sells out on the day. Cheesymite Scrolls are $5.50, Cape Seed Loaves are $9.50 and Cinnamon Scones are $3.75.

Orders close Tuesday, October 20 at 11am ET. Pickup is from 11am to 1pm, and since orders are baked just for you, we can't refund orders that aren't picked up.

Want to play at the US Open Netball Championships in Henderson, Nevada on November 6–8 but don't have a team? One email could get you on court.

Women's and mixed/co-ed teams from more than 25 states and Australia will compete for the national titles at Henderson Sport & Social, just outside Las Vegas. Games start at 8:20 a.m. on Saturday, November 7 🏐

You don't have to be on court to be part of it, either. Our guide covers:

America Josh has teamed up with Australians in California, Qantas and Bread + Butter, a Tasmanian bakery in LA, to host relaxed morning coffees for Aussies on the West Coast. Coffee #12 is hosted by Michael Hardy.

There's no agenda. Drop in from 8:30am, say g'day, and stay as long as you like. There's always a mix of people who are brand new to California and people who've been here for years, swapping tips and stories about life in the US.

Bread + Butter bakes everything in small batches fresh that morning, so come hungry. 🥐

Every Friday we meet at 10:30 and this week we're at & Co. – Midtown ☕

If you've been meaning to meet more people in New York, this is the easiest way to do it. Coffee with New Friends is relaxed, casual and easy to pop in and out of. There's always a mix of familiar faces and first-timers.

The idea is simple. Grab a great coffee and a cake, support an awesome local business, and connect with people in the most comfortable setting. There are no speeches and no forced networking, just a group of people coming together to talk about the highs and lows of life in the city.

That "one phone call" you've seen in every cop show? Criminal attorney Doug Schneider says that's not really how it works after an arrest. He explains what actually protects you instead, and why your buddy should be carrying a lawyer's card for you. 📇

I sat down with Doug, owner of Schneider Law, to answer the questions so many of you sent in about protesting in the US as a non-citizen. Whether you've been here a few months or most of your life, here's some of what we covered:

✊ Whether your First Amendment rights depend on your visa or green card
👮 What you do and don't have to tell an officer, before an arrest and after it
📱 Filming police in public, and the line you shouldn't cross
- What to leave at home if you don't want police holding onto it for a long time

There's also a section on why a lawyer calling the precinct early matters so much, and who else you should bring in if you're facing charges.
