Here it is Ink Fans, my very own limited edition letterpress ink is available for pre order. I tested the Hell out of Cannonball Black! I printed woodcuts, wood type, and lead type both large and small. I ran it on cylinder and platen presses putting this formula through it’s paces. It has a great body, heavy pigment load, a balanced open/dry time, and best of all its water-miscible! Yeah blockheads, you can clean this up with a soap and water if you want.
Great for workshops, home studios, job printing, hand inking wood type, detailed relief prints, halftone plates, polymer plates and in a pinch, a perfect mayo or pomade substitute. Buy two! A shop well supplied never gets behind!

Cannonball is proud to announce that we have a few recently published woodcuts by Joseph Velasquez, Claudio Orso, and Raeleen Kao in Spring exhibition Pulled In Brooklyn. Co curated by Samantha Rippner and Roberta Waddell with consulting from Luther Davis this is the largest in-depth retrospective of the graphic works of Brooklyn’s Printmaking workshops, printers, and artists. If you are in NYC please visit the show which opens with a reception Thursday, April 4th, 6 - 8PM and runs through June 15, 2019.
