PROTECT OUR FIRST RESPONDERS INITIATIVE
Hopeful greetings to one and all. We pray that you and your respective loved ones are all safe. It's been a trying time given the drastic changes that we all have had to quickly transform and adapt to along with the many responsibilities we were already obliged to secure.
This is the primary inspiration in to launching this initiative. Whether we like it or not or to the degree of severity that this affects us, it is both our humane and moral responsibility to Protect Our First Responders....they are our grandparents, they are our moms and dads, they are our brothers and sisters, they are our aunts and uncles, they are our friends, they are Nurses, EMTs, Fire Departments, Law Enforcement; but most importantly they are our HEROES.
This pandemic has already personally touched our family and extended family from both a patient (RIP Aunty Barb) and first responder (RIP Miriam) tragedy accounts. As we assessed how we could be of the most assistance in these perilous times, we relied on consultation with individuals whom possessed the most experience in Public Policy Programs. We quickly acknowledged that since we were not already a recognized Not-For-Profit or charity that we should stay away from directly collecting funds. However, we could liaise with such organizations for endorsements to direct such aid to their respective foundations where we can most trust in the adequate and most effective distribution of funds to get our First Responders the PPE that they are desperately pleading for. The links provided vary in the ways and means of assistance.
1. Donate Your PPE can streamline your PPE to the specific area you want to contribute to.
2. American Red Cross Foundation is a financial donation that is distributed nationally but covers a broad range from healthcare medicine, equipment, PPE along with feeding our elderly and homeless.
3. A donation to our CDC gives our scientist and pandemic experts the tools to come up with a vaccine / antiviral to curb or eliminate the Covid19 Virus. They also are undoubtedly the most reliable source for preventive and preparatory directives you should follow.
4. A donation or Volunteering at FEMA will give our pandemic response teams further leverage in providing ventilators, PPE & most importantly TESTING.
5. A donation to Quelzi Miranda will get your surplus PPE collected and delivered to NYC local hospitals currently in the most dire need for PPE.
6. A donation to the Boys & Girls Club will help kids and their families facing trying times with the abrupt closure of schools – from food insecurity to scrambling to find safe quality childcare for parents who must remain working, like first responders and healthcare workers.
Every little contribution you can give will stand out as extremely impactful at the end of this crisis. Make your stamp on aiding our humanity to move forward for our future generations. We are being recorded in history.
