A hard-line cleric suspected by India of mastermindingthe deadly Mumbai attacks will remain free, for now, after Pakistan's top court ruled Tuesday that the government lacks the evidence needed to imprision him. The Supreme Court's decision could strain Pakistan and India's already brittle relationship at a time when the rival nations are trying to restart peace talks.

Plans have been approved by The Financial District Committee of Community Board 1 who seems to have gotten ensnared in a public-relations ploy by mosque-makers. At a May 5 meeting, the committee gave the project an enthusiastic thumbs-up for a Muslim house of worship, topped by a 13-story cultural center with a swimming pool, in a building damaged by the fuselage of a jet flown into the World Trade Center.

Ukraine police have found the mutilated body of a Chabad yeshiva student, who disappeared in Kiev on April 20th, the anniversary of Hitler's birthday. The body, mutilated into nearly a dozen pieces, was found buried in a Kiev suburb. Police have arrested the suspected leader of the neo-nazi gang, but have not announced whether they are treating the killing as an anti-Semite crime.

A bridge built in 1320 has been discovered during infrastructure work on sewers in the Sultan's Pool area across from the walls of Jerusalems Old City. The bridge was part of the ancient aquaduct that brought water from the Bethlehem area to the Temple Mount during the Second Temple period.

For the first time ever police will forbid Jews to enter through Lion's Gate and Herod's Gate during the tradtional flag parade to mark Jerusalem Day. Police Commissioner David Cohen refused the request of MK Uri Ariel to open the gates to the parade participants. Ariel even suggested limiting the hours and number of people passing through the gates, but the commissioner refused to do so.

Douglas Hagmann, Director of the Northeast Intelligence Network, has said that there is "extensive" Islamic infiltration into American prison systems. Most recent statistics available show that one out of three African-American inmates in US prisons convert to Islam while incarcerated. The type of Islam to which they convert teaches the same ideology as the 9/11 hijackers, which is the Wahhabi or Salafi Islam.
