Oh, Central! How much we love you! This place is so magical in every season. It's one of the places that New Yorkers are proud of.

Over the past 2 days, we had a huge snowstorm, which accumulated more than 2 feet (60.96cm) of snow! When it snows so much like this it can stop the city. Subways get delayed, buses and non-essential cars are now allowed on the roads, businesses close early, and schools are canceled. The great thing about it? It's that the city turns into a playground, and a real fairytale! Central Park is where we can all go and admire the beauty of a storm. Sledding, snowball fight, building snowman, and snow angels are a few of the most popular ways to have fun. ❄☃️❄

How about you? What would you do? ❄☃️

Oh, Central!

E quanto a você? O que você faria? ❄☃️ @ Central Park

Grove Street in the Greenwhich Village is one of our favorite streets to walk around in the city. It's a very short street, covering 5 blocks only. Starting on Hudson Street to the West and ends at Christopher Street.

Walking around truly gives you a feeling of an old New York, where it all began. The pictured court area was built in 1853-1854. Back in the day, it was used as "backhouses" where the poor would live and drink cheap liquor, leading to the nickname "mixed Ale Alley". Today, these houses are worth well over 3 million dollars!

We highly recommend anyone to get out of the city and explore NY state, one of our favorite spots is the famous West Point Military Academy, which is located along the Hudson River and offers a scenic view.
Did you know? Army West Point Military Academy was stablished in 1801 by Thomas Jefferson. It offers four-year bachelor's degree. There are 40 academic majors, the most popular are foreign languages, management information systems, history, economics and mechanical engineering.
Tuition is free, and cadets are required to serve 5 years upon graduation.
West Point Honor Code - "A cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do."
How to get there - Located 50 miles (80km) out of NYC, you can drive up there (about 1hr), or by taking the train from Penn Station.

Things to do - Visit the Museum that tells history of the school as well as the visitor center, where you can learn about the process in which each cadets goes through in order to be admitted and graduate from one of the most prestigious Military Academy in the world. It's a great way to not only learn about something that is part of the American culture, but also to enjoy beautiful views, and if you can get a reservation, have brunch at their hotel, which is a must!
When to visit? Anytime, but Fall is our favorite. 🍁🧡🍂

Why Do Americans Put Pumpkins Out For Halloween?⁣ 🎃🎃🎃

Americans love all things festive and fun, decorating for Fall can be a real treat, especially for families. Have you ever wondered why pumpkin symbolizes Fall and Halloween? ⁣

🎃 They are a seasonal crop and here in North America, as soon as Autumn starts, you can find everything infused with pumpkin; from coffee, candles, tea, bath oils to the traditional pies. 🥧
🎃🎃 Did you know? When the Europeans immigrated to America, they brought the tradition of making lanterns with vegetables, once they saw the pumpkins and realized their vibrant colors, it also made excellent lanterns, it was a no brainer! Of course, the longer version of the Jack-o-lantern comes from an Irish man who fooled the devil... but that's a story for another post. 😉 ⁣
How about you? Will you be carving pumpkings this year? Share your stories and ideas with us! 😍
E quanto a você? Você vai esculpir abóboras este ano? Compartilhe suas histórias e idéias conosco! 😍

Here's Brooklyn in the Fall. 🍁🍃🧡🍂
🤎💛❤
We often have people asking us "when is the best time to visit NY?" And our answer is ANYTIME! It all depends on what you like. Summer can get very hot and humid, but here are extremely nice days. Spring is beautiful with all the flowers around the city, but keep in mind that the level of polen can get pretty high. Winter is not always super cold, but it does get windy, and can be very pleasant if you don't mind the low temperatures. Our favorite? Fall/Autumn because of all the beautiful colors of the foliage you get to see. It's not hot, not too cold, it's just right!
Brooklyn no outono! ❤💛🤎🍂🧡🍃🍁
E nossa resposta é A QUALQUER MOMENTO! 🤎💛❤🧡

We seriously can't get enough of the beautiful colors in the Fall.
🍃🍂🍁🤎💛❤
This is a very cute house in the West Village, where you can easily see all the season's changes if you walk by. We mentioned that Central Park is one of the best places in the city to see the foliage, but no matter where you go, you will see shades of yellow, red, brown and orange leaves. It's like magic!
