🚴♀️🚶 New Orleans — on November 15, 2025, we’ll have the chance to vote YES on the 2025 Bond Sale Propositions, a plan to invest in safer, greener, and more connected streets for everyone — without raising taxes.
Here’s what’s included:
🏗️ Roads, bridges, and streets: $200M+ to repair and redesign streets for all users — people walking, biking, rolling, taking transit, and driving.
🚶 Walking paths & greenways: Extensions to the Lafitte Greenway, a new People’s Avenue walking path, and more safe routes to get around without a car.
🌳 Parks & recreation: $40M+ in improvements to public spaces that connect to trails and bike routes.
💡 Streetlighting upgrades: Brighter, more reliable lights citywide — helping everyone feel safer while walking and biking after dark.
☀️ Clean energy & resilience hubs: Solar fields, battery backups, and community gathering sites for neighborhood safety and reliability.
🏖️ Lincoln Beach: Continued restoration and expanded public access to our lakefront.
🏛️ Public buildings & safety facilities: Renovations to the Municipal Auditorium and construction of a new secure evidence facility.
✅ Importantly, this is NOT a new tax or tax increase.
The bonds will be funded through the existing debt service millage that’s already part of our property taxes.
A YES vote for the 2025 Bond Sale Propositions supports Complete Streets — making it safer and easier to walk, bike, and move through New Orleans.
