Area boaters: Amtrak is looking for feedback on proposed bridge closures before they submit to the Coast Guard for approval. Please send any and all comments in!

In support of the heavy ridership for 2026 FIFA world Cup Games located at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA, between June 13th 2026 and July 9th 2026 we are asking for the 7 dates listed below in Red, for no opening's on the times listed below. This is just our plan, and we are looking for any feedback from the boating community. We value your support. Please send any concerns to me by 4/28/26. At that point, we will move forward with our Coast Guard Request. Thanks in advance.

Niantic River Railroad Bridge in East Lyme CT

Are you in need of a CT Safe Boating Certificate? Sign up for the ABC Safe Boating Course at the Hartford Boat Show at Mohegan Sun

The Hartford Power Squadron will lead its Safe Boating Course and has agreed to charge $50 per student, which includes the instructional book.

America's Boating Course is designed for all boaters and meets all requirements for CT DEEP's Certificate of Watercraft Operation and Massachusetts's new certification.

The course will run over two days: Saturday, January 31st, from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM, and Sunday, February 1st, from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM. Students will receive a show ticket at the conclusion of Day 2. Purchasing admission to the show is not required for the course.
