The town of Badin has alot of festivals and events coming up. While you are in town, check out our recently painted 1172 caboose.
It was a former Seaboard caboose that once traveled their entire system. We wanted to keep the heritage of its past with a fresh new coat of red paint with the current ownership of Atlantic Railways.

UPDATE: Train moved at 10am.

A train is stopped in Easley. Plan your trips accordingly. The S 1st crossover is open.

As a reminder, railways are owned by the rail companies. They allow crossovers. I’ve made an inquiry to Norfolk Southern, but usually, the stops are not long in duration. Usually, the stops mean a good thing - that the economy is going so well that there are too many trains on the tracks. Easley, with double tracks, is one of just a few places trains can stop & pass one another between Atlanta & Charlotte.

Finally, Easley would not be here but for the train tracks. Adapt & embrace the inconvenience. It gives a charm or a complaint.

Safety is always the first step to any job. On the railroad most of the rules are written in blood by those who came before in this industry. The Jake awards are presented by the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association, to North American Short Lines (Class 3 Railroads) who have an injury and illness ratio less than or equal to the national average. The Distinction is for railroads with Zero Reportable injuries and illnesses.

Please take a moment to congratulate our team on a very safe and successful operating year 2023; for making it possible for Atlantic Railways to receive the 2023 Jake Award with Distinction!
