Ember Drive Closure Detour
Tentatively – August 24, 2026 through October 23, 2026

Beginning Monday, August 24, 2026, through Friday, October 23, 2026 (Weather Permitting), Ember Drive between Vortex Drive and Tower Drive will be closed temporarily to allow for roadway reconstruction, drainage improvements, and asphalt paving operations.
During this closure, there will be no local access within the work zone; through traffic will not be permitted. Motorists are advised to use the posted detour route to avoid delays and safely navigate around the closure.
Motorists wishing to travel southbound on Hangar Drive to Tower Drive, or westbound on Ember Drive to Tower Drive, will be detoured east on Vortex Drive to W. Admiral Doyle Drive and proceed southeast to LA Hwy 3212, then west on LA Hwy 3212 to Tower Drive. Motorists will then proceed northwest to the intersection of LaSalle Street. Motorists will then proceed to the intersection of the newly constructed Hangar Drive. Motorists will then proceed north along Hangar Drive to Tower Drive.
Motorists wishing to travel eastbound on Tower Drive to Ember Drive or to existing Hangar Drive North will be detoured south on Tower Drive to the newly constructed Hangar Drive, then proceed south to LaSalle Street. Motorists will then travel east on LaSalle Street to Tower Drive, then south on Tower Drive to the LA Hwy 3212 intersection. Motorists will then travel east on LA Hwy 3212 to W. Admiral Doyle Drive, then proceed northwest on W. Admiral Doyle Drive to Vortex Drive. Motorists will then proceed west along Vortex Drive to the intersection of Ember Drive and Hangar Drive.
Detour signage, advance warning signs, barricades, and directional arrows are installed in accordance with the approved traffic control plan and applicable MUTCD standards.
Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly, allow additional travel time, and use caution when traveling near the work zone. All work is weather-dependent, and the closure schedule may be adjusted as necessary.
