f you only have a few hours in Évora, Portugal, these are the 3 must-see places you cannot miss 🇵🇹

Évora is a UNESCO World Heritage city about 1.5 hours from Lisbon and is packed with incredible history. These three sites are all within walking distance and give you the perfect introduction to the city.

1️⃣ Roman Temple of Évora (Temple of Diana)
One of the best-preserved Roman structures in Portugal, dating back to the 1st century. The columns are incredibly photogenic and it’s one of the most iconic landmarks in Évora.

2️⃣ Évora Cathedral (Sé de Évora)
Climb to the cathedral rooftop for some of the best views in Évora. You can walk along the terraces and towers and see the entire historic city, the Alentejo countryside, and the Roman Temple nearby. It’s one of the best photo spots in town.

3️⃣ Chapel of Bones (Capela dos Ossos)
Possibly the most famous site in Évora. This small chapel is lined with thousands of real human bones and skulls, built by monks as a reminder of the fragility of life. It’s eerie, fascinating, and completely unforgettable.

If you’re planning a day trip from Lisbon to Évora, these three stops should absolutely be on your list.
