We're excited to be featured in the Princeton Alumni Weekly! Look out for the Urban Canopy Parklet to return to a parking spot near you in April :)
Yale architecture graduate students Misha Semenov ’15 and Kassandra Leiva ’15 (and their dog, Daphne) appear inside their creation: an urban parklet. The modular structure, which was unveiled last summer and placed in the Fair Haven neighborhood in New Haven, Conn., offers seating, tables, and live foliage. The parklet is meant to inspire contemplation and connection with native ecology — a notion that Semenov and Leiva call ecoempathy.
