10 Cryogenic Freezers. One Specialized Biorepository Relocation.

BioRelo supported a specialized biorepository move from Cryopoint in Brownsburg, Indiana, to Americord Registry in Somerset, New Jersey.

Our team relocated MVE High Efficiency 1500 Series cryogenic/LN2 freezers, operating at approximately -190°C.

Cryogenic relocations require specialized handling, transportation planning, and temperature-control capabilities. BioRelo supports biorepositories and labs with cryogenic transport for equipment and biological materials, including liquid and vapor-phase nitrogen applications.

Our capabilities extend to temperatures from ambient to -196°C, and we always carry an additional LN2 tank supply onboard to provide added protection during cryogenic transportation.

Moving a laboratory across the country is about ensuring that critical cancer research can continue without interruption.

BioRelo supported a cancer metabolism researcher relocating from Tucson, Arizona, to Athens, Georgia, covering approximately 1,800 miles between leading academic and research institutions.

The project included temperature-controlled equipment, more than 200 chemicals, research samples, and specialized laboratory materials.

We coordinated the movement of more than 600 freezers and refrigerators containing biological materials and chemicals across six research buildings and departments at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

The three-week, multi-phase project required multiple trucks and moving teams, detailed scheduling, and close coordination with hospital teams.

Some phases involved more than 100 units in a single day, while others involved fewer than 10. Each phase was carefully planned around the needs of the individual department to minimize disruption to active research operations.
