10/8, 10/9 & 10/13 – Sea Bass Trips

Well, the fishing has been a struggle for the most part lately. We’ve been doing A LOT of drops just to put what we can in the box. Some spots have zero life, while others have shorts but nothing worth keeping. We’ll keep grinding for them, but if we come across some stripers, they’ll be on the menu too!

The 10/8 and 10/9 trips saw the crews put together their limits, but today we could only scrape up 30. Unfortunately, that’s just how it goes sometimes. Big thanks to everyone who’s been out with us the past few trips and put in the work! 🤙

10/5 — Had Dave and the crew out today for a crack at some sea bass. After all that wind over the weekend, we really didn’t know what to expect.

Life was 100% not the best. Had to do a lot of spot hopping, picking whatever would bite and moving on. Some spots had good short life, just not enough keepers. These guys really worked hard for them today and boxed up a boat limit! Also had a handful of snappers and a few choppers to round out the box. Thanks again, guys… always a fun group to have aboard! 🎣

10/2 – Sea Bass 🎣

Finally got our first day of sea bass in! We’ve been tied up with the weather, then the bridge issues, so it felt good to finally get back out there.

Got one trip in since the season opened and, for the most part, the fishing was pretty good. Had to do some looking around and a whole lot of recycling to put our 80 in the box, but we still finished early, which was a nice way to end the day!

Well, we’ve been tied up for what seems like a month! Between the weather and the damage from the weather to the Route 71 bridge, we finally got the go-ahead and we’re back up and running🎣

Been tied up with the terrible weather this past week. We lost our first week of what would’ve been some decent sea bassing based on the amount of fish we were seeing on our last few fluke and ling trips.

That being said, better days are ahead and we’re ready to get back at it🎣 Sea bass is on the menu, with stripers and blackfish coming up next.

🇺🇸Happy Labor Day🇺🇸

Hope everyone had a great weekend with family and friends!

The past week of fishing for us has definitely been a struggle. We’re seeing a fair amount of bites, but keepers have been tough to come by with the fish moving all over the place. We’ve been grinding it out and managing to put some dinners in the box seeing anywhere from 10–15 fluke and everyone’s sea bass on most days.

We’re also seeing some good signs for the upcoming sea bass season!

Big thanks to everyone who’s been out fishing with us and grinding hard for every last one. Appreciate you guys as always!

8/29 & 8/30 Trips 🎣

Couple more trips in the books for us! We passed on yesterday’s trip with the wind, but got back after it today.

Fishing remains picky. Loads of shorts everywhere, and now we’re having to do a lot of looking around to scrape up what we can. The past couple trips we’ve seen crew limits some days, while other days we’re scratching out everyone’s sea bass to add to the box.

Boat traffic has been a major pain in the ass the last couple trips, but we keep grinding and making it happen!

8/26 Fishing Report 🎣

We had Sully and the boys out for some fluke. The life was incredible with loads and loads of shorts, but unfortunately the keepers were a little tougher to come by. So many just-miss fish! The keepers we did box were all nice size though, and the crew of 5 put together their limit.

8/24 & 8/25 Fishing Report 🎣

Couple more trips in the books for us!

Yesterday we had Tim and his family out for a day on the water. Before we even left, I was told not to stress as they were just looking for an enjoyable day on the water. That’s exactly what we gave them! We had to stay away from the real grizzly bottom, but there was no shortage of bites. Loads of shorts with enough keepers mixed in to send everyone home with some dinners. Always a fun group with plenty of laughs, and we couldn’t have asked for a better, picture-perfect day on the water!

Today we ran an open trip and couldn’t have asked for another better day. Fair amount of bites again, and although boat traffic was a pain in the ass for a weekday, we made it work. A couple nice shots throughout the day added up, and the guys boxed up an 8-man limit and threw some back for another day🎣

Thanks to everyone from the past two days! Lots of laughs and some damn good people for sure. We’ll be back at it in the morning to see what we can come up with tomorrow!

8/23 Fishing Report

Sunday crews turn! This morning started off with a monsoon for the first hour of the day. Once that passed, the guys went right to work! Loads of bites today, and the guys went through some serious amounts of gulp to get it done. Mostly all nice quality keepers again today. High hook once again with a triple limit! 🎣 Boat traffic was a pain in the ass, but we dealt with it and kept grinding. The guys put together a nice early boat limit and we called it early.
