20 Years of NM Expedited!!!
It’s hard to believe, but on October 16, 2006 exactly 20 years ago today, we ran our first Expedited delivery!
Looking back, on those early days. our senior leadership had seriously good foresight to see the need for this kind of service! They made a strong move to develop a team and launched NM Expedited. It was very exciting time and I was thrilled to be invited to take part of this new adventure!
We started with a small crew of outstanding drivers and a handful of trucks and imediatly took off. The growth was very fast and thrilling to be part of. We opened up new terminals, grew our support staff, bought more trucks and hired more drivers and always kept focus on maintaining the standards of service our customers expect.
From the flip phone and fax machines era to smart phones and GPS our technology and efficiency has greatly improved. I am sure some of our dispatch team can remember those "push to talk" phones?
From day one, this division continues to run on the grit and determination of our people. Keeping a 24/7 operation moving across the US and Canada is a massive undertaking. We’re still here two decades later because our drivers show up every single day, standing by our word, and delivering top-tier service with the backing of the absolute best support network in the business.
To our drivers out there battling the traffic, construction and bad weather, dispatch and customer service handling the chaos, HR for working tirelessly to bring us the absolute best drivers in the business, and our mechanics for keeping the fleet safe!! You are all the real backbone of this division.
Twenty years on the road doesn't happen without every single person pitching in and giving it their all. I am incredibly grateful for the grit, the late nights, and the hard work you all put in every single day to make this business work.
We owe all of it to you!
