⚠️ FLASH FLOOD WARNING – PLEASE USE CAUTION
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for our area that is in effect until 9:45 p.m.

Several roadways throughout the City of Needles are experiencing significant flooding. At this time:

Needles Highway is CLOSED.

The Needles Underpass is CLOSED.

Please avoid traveling unless it is an extreme emergency. Never attempt to drive through flooded roadways, as conditions can change rapidly and pose a serious danger.

Free sandbags are available to residents at:

San Bernardino County Fire Department
100 Safari Drive
Needles, CA

Please continue to monitor local weather updates and use caution while traveling. Your safety is our top priority.

🚧 Needles Highway Construction 🚧

The project by Granite Construction is resurfacing about 2.32 miles of Needles Highway from David Drive to just north of Notchco Road. Work happens weekdays from 6a.m. to 5 p.m., with traffic control and possible delays. Construction is scheduled to wrap up on July 31st, 2026.

For the latest on progress, call Granite's James Regan at (760) 625-5423 or San Bernardino County Public Works at (909) 387-7920. Schedules may shift a bit.
