Every company has a moment when it changes tracks.

The 12-foot Frog Conference Table was built around the real thing — a railroad frog, the piece of trackwork that guides a train from one line to another. 🚂

It is heavy. It is powerful. It is not pretending to be industrial.

But like every Rail Yard Studios piece, it was engineered with intention. The table comes apart like a child’s puzzle, so the weight can be managed, moved, and installed without losing the force of the design. 🖤

Because true strength is not just about what something weighs.

It is about how well it works.

There are two crews in our world.

One keeps America moving. 🚂

The other gives that movement a second life. ✨

Following the rail crew around is part thrill, part respect, and yes — a little dangerous. These are the people who repair, rebuild, and keep the tracks alive beneath the weight of everything we depend on.

Then there’s our furniture crew.

They take the elements of that same railroad world — steel, timber, texture, history — and turn them into pieces built for rooms that deserve something with a story.
Two crews. One line of work.

Strength, reimagined.

Some tables are built.

This one was found, rescued, and given a second life. 💙

The Blue Ladder Dining Table is framed with a real boxcar ladder, still carrying a graffiti’d eye on the side — a small, watchful mark from its life on the rails. 🚂👁️
Now it holds a different kind of movement: dinners, conversations, deals, stories, and the quiet authority of a room that knows exactly what it is.

Industrial. Unmistakable. Impossible to duplicate.

A desk should do more than hold your work.

It should make a statement before you say a word. 🖤

The Master Bridge Builder’s Ballast Deck Desk is built from reclaimed railroad materials with the kind of weight, structure, and presence you don’t find in ordinary office furniture. Inspired by ballast deck bridge design, it brings engineering, history, and authority into the room. 🚂✨

For the office that doesn’t need to explain itself.

It doesn’t begin as furniture.
It begins with weight. With purpose. With steel and timber that already know what it means to carry something important. 🚂

From the raw materials at the railroad tie plant… to the sketches, engineering, and exacting design… to the finished Sleepers Coffee Table.

This isn’t a table made to fill a room.

It’s a table made to anchor one. 🖤

Here’s the thing about a side table.

Most of them just stand there.

This one has already worked for a living. 🛤️

The Switchman’s Side Table is made from reclaimed oak or hickory crosstie material, joined with large steel dome head drive spikes — the same kind of hardware once used to hold grade-crossing timbers together for wagons, cars, and everything passing over the rails.

It’s simple.
Solid.
Unpolished in all the right places.
A stool if you need it.

A side table if you know what you’re looking at.

A piece of railroad history either way. 🥃⚒️

Made in the USA. Built from the kind of material that doesn’t ask for attention — it earns it.

There’s a curve in the rail for a reason.

It wasn’t designed to be beautiful.

It was designed to carry weight, change direction, and keep the whole thing moving.

That’s the thing about old railroad steel — it already knows how to hold a story.
In this video, we’re measuring the curve of a railroad frog, the piece of trackwork where two rails meet and the train chooses its path.

Now it has become something else.

A coffee table.
A conversation piece.
A limited edition.

Only 3 available, made from the frogs we have.

Because some pieces of history don’t need to be reproduced.

They need to be claimed. 🛤️☕✨

One desk. One rail. One chance. ⚒️🖤

Meet the L&N Crossing Desk — inspired by the bold geometry of railroad crossbucks and built around a real 1902 rail from the Louisville & Nashville Railroad.

This executive desk features a commanding 48” x 96” glass top and a preserved rail forged in Germany over a century ago.

Rail like this isn’t made anymore — and this desk won’t be made again.

Would you anchor your workspace with a piece of living railroad history? 👀✨

He doesn’t call ahead. He never has.

Ichabod just shows up—when the walls are bare and the work is already missed.

We sold through the last of his pieces.
Then, right on time, he arrived… and left us with more.

Some people make art.
Others leave a mark.
