It’s officially spooky season on Block Island! 👻🍂

Looking to explore the island’s darker side? Join Block Island Ghost Tours for the Old Harbor Ghost Tour, a one-mile walking tour filled with haunted history, island folklore, ghost stories, and true crime. Your Ghost Host will guide you through some of Block Island’s spookiest tales, and you’ll even receive a flashlight and an “I Survived” sticker! 🔦

Tours run Tuesday through Sunday at 7 PM and 9 PM, with check-in at the Inn at Old Harbor by the Statue of Rebecca.

Service Alert for Monday, October 12th: The High Speed ferry departures are cancelled for today due to adverse sea conditions. All Traditional ferries are running as scheduled. Our Reservation Office is open from 9am-1pm, 866, 783-996 Ext. 3. If you had passenger tickets for the high speed ferry and would like to travel on the Traditional ferry, please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to departure and exchange your tickets at ticket window. Lace up your running shoes and get ready to experience Block Island on foot! 🏃‍♀️🍂

The 2026 Block Island Half Marathon is happening on Sunday, October 11! Starting and finishing at Fred Benson Pavilion, the scenic course takes runners through beach dunes, past the Great Salt Pond, out to North Lighthouse, and along the island’s west side with beautiful views of the Atlantic.

Whether you’re running or cheering from the sidelines, hop on the ferry and enjoy a fall day on Block Island! 💙⛴️

Service Alert for Sunday, October 4th: The High Speed ferry has been cancelled for the following trips: Departing Pt. Judith at 3:30pm & 5:45pm and Departing Block Island at 4:30pm & 6:30pm due to adverse sea conditions. All Traditional ferries are running as schedule.
If you had high speed tickets for cancelled departures, please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure to exchange to your tickets for the Traditional Ferry. The Traditional ferry departures are departing Pt. Judith & Block Island at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm & 7pm. For more information visit https://www.blockislandferry.com/alerts/

The Athena High-Speed Ferry will be taking a seasonal break beginning October 13, but don’t worry, she’ll return on November 25 for Thanksgiving week!
