Service Alert for Saturday, May 30th: The National Weather Service has issued Gale Warnings for our area. At this time, we expect both Traditional and High-Speed ferry morning trips to operate as scheduled. Afternoon trips are questionable due to forecasted wind and sea conditions. Block Island will be celebrating America's 250th anniversary with a variety of events throughout the season. Tonight, May 22, the kickoff to summer begins with the unveiling of a special 250th glass orb, handcrafted by local artist Eben Horton, creator of the Block Island Glass Float Project.

The unveiling will take place during the Block Island Historical Society’s opening reception at 5 PM and will also feature a special exhibit of Revolutionary War-era artifacts discovered on the island. The commemorative orb will remain on display until July 1, when it will be hidden somewhere on Block Island for one lucky finder to discover.

🐾💙 In honor of National Rescue Dog Day, we partnered with Mutt Hutt to spotlight a lovable pup looking for her forever home!

Meet Dani Bea, a 2-year-old hound mix available for adoption through SOSARL. Dani is bright, outgoing, and incredibly friendly, with a playful personality and a heart full of love. She gets along great with other dogs, loves kids, rides well in the car, and settles into a home with ease.
