The independent survey by American Pulse Research & Polling was conducted between May 27 to June 1. Based on a representative random sample of 633 residents and supported by key demographic data, the findings offer a reliable snapshot of overall sentiment.

Community insight plays a key role in shaping our path forward. ✈️

Results of an independent survey found that 80.3% of City of Naples and Collier County residents are in favor of restoring commercial airline service at Naples Airport.

Conducted May 27 to June 1 by American Pulse Research & Polling, the survey included 633 registered voters whose sentiments were collected via live telephone interviews and text surveys.

The Naples Airport Authority’s Board requested the commercial airlines survey to help guide discussions with American Airlines, which submitted a letter of intent expressing a desire to offer three flights daily between Naples and Charlotte starting Dec. 2.

“Naples Airport has been an asset to this community since it was established in 1943 as a military airfield, but its uses have evolved over the years,” said Chris Rozansky, executive director of the Naples Airport Authority. “This survey shows that residents have a favorable view toward the return of commercial service, and it’s certainly valuable data to consider as we continue discussions with American Airlines.”

RSW will soon get a new Allegiant Air route, with fares starting at $79, the airline announced Monday, May 18.

Allegiant Air announced a new route to and from Punta Gorda Airport (PDG) in Florida and La Crosse (LSE) in Wisconsin.

Naples airport may soon be getting American Airlines flights!

Here is what we know so far...
- American Airlines submitted a letter of intent to the Naples Airport Authority stating it wants to begin service on December 2, 2026
- The airline is proposing three daily arrivals and three daily departures using 65-seat Bombardier CRJ-700 regional jets
- Airport staff are now seeking direction from commissioners on whether to move forward with negotiations and possible agreements tied to commercial service.
- American Airlines has also indicated it would help financially support any required facility upgrades through lease and rental agreements and is not asking for financial incentives.
- Commissioners are expected to discuss the proposal next Thursday.
- No agreement has been approved yet.

Today, the Fighting Redcocks are based onboard NAS Lemoore, California and operate the two seat F/A-18F Super Hornet, the world's most advanced strike fighter.
