With Hurricane Season officially upon us, we want to remind you of a few tips on how to keep your aircraft safe in the event of a storm.

🔶 Have aircraft evacuation plans in place.
🔶 Contact 2 alternate airports and make arrangements for apron/ hangar space.
🔶 Have an “evacuation” pilot who can relocate your aircraft if necessary.
🔶 Plan early for fuel.

For additional transparency, the Naples Airport Authority has published the full results and analysis of the Commercial Airline Survey on our website.

The independent survey by American Pulse Research & Polling was conducted between May 27 to June 1. Based on a representative random sample of 633 residents and supported by key demographic data, the findings offer a reliable snapshot of overall sentiment.

Community insight plays a key role in shaping our path forward. ✈️

Results of an independent survey found that 80.3% of City of Naples and Collier County residents are in favor of restoring commercial airline service at Naples Airport.

Conducted May 27 to June 1 by American Pulse Research & Polling, the survey included 633 registered voters whose sentiments were collected via live telephone interviews and text surveys.

The Naples Airport Authority’s Board requested the commercial airlines survey to help guide discussions with American Airlines, which submitted a letter of intent expressing a desire to offer three flights daily between Naples and Charlotte starting Dec. 2.

“Naples Airport has been an asset to this community since it was established in 1943 as a military airfield, but its uses have evolved over the years,” said Chris Rozansky, executive director of the Naples Airport Authority. “This survey shows that residents have a favorable view toward the return of commercial service, and it’s certainly valuable data to consider as we continue discussions with American Airlines.”

Naples Airport is committed to cleaner aviation that protects our community and environment. ✈️

Through the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel, provided by Avfuel, as well as Unleaded Aviation Gasoline, the airport is expanding access to low carbon, clean burning fuel options for tenants and pilots. These efforts reduce emissions, support healthier airfield operations and reflect long-term planning for environmental sustainability.

The airport’s leadership in sustainable fuel was recognized statewide in 2025 with the Benjamin J. Siwinski Sustainability Award. Additionally, we were honored multiple times with the J. Bryan Cooper Environmental Award, for our Comprehensive Wildlife Management Program, which included projects to improve water retention and reduce the risk of wildlife interactions.

Join us in welcoming our brilliant Aviation Interns, Brianna Motz and Michael Holmes! ✈️✨

Brianna is a dedicated Aviation Business student from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, who has already had her discovery flight and earned her pilot's license at the Naples Airport. When she’s not flying, you'll find her dancing, staying active, or enjoying time with loved ones.

Michael is also a student at Embry-Riddle, majoring in Aeronautical Science, and holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument rating, as well as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate. In his free time, he’s off adventuring, hiking, skydiving, or scuba diving.

Join us in welcoming these two passionate individuals as they embark on their journey at the Naples Airport! 👏🏼
