What if I told you that there is a desert 🌵 ☀️ in the middle of the Caribbean Sea 🌊 There are some haters out there, tell me who you are! 😜

Because of its position in the far east, this island does not get the rainfall that many of the other Caribbean islands do.

Though beautiful, often times people think Aruba is like any other Caribbean destination. In fact, it is highly unique, with cacti and boulders similar to the Western United States, but with gorgeous blue turquoise water as too!

Y’all, I feel compelled to share the sad and horrific news out of Six Flags over Georgia in Atlanta today from a park we know and love. I work with families interested in theme parks frequently, so I feel like I need to share as a member of this community.

Earlier today, reports came out that there were people stuck on the lift hill of Goliath, one of the roller coasters, at Six Flags Over Georgia. Reports then came out that people weren’t just stuck but that a man was ejected out of the previous car. Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries and died today. A dad, riding next to his child. I can’t help but feel the parallel between myself and Oliver.

While details on what led to the incident have yet to be released. The park closed early today pending investigations.

As a roller coaster enthusiast, these stories just gut punch me. Incidents like this leading to death are estimated to be less than 1 in 23 million rides. Sadly, that 1 in 23 million came to our home today.

Our prayers are with the family today.
