The U.S. Embassy in Athens has issued an important reminder for Greek-American travelers: Every U.S. citizen—including dual U.S.–Greek citizens and children—must use a valid U.S. passport to enter and leave the United States.
A Greek passport cannot replace it. Dual citizens also cannot use ESTA to travel to the United States.
With thousands of Greek-American families traveling between Greece and America this summer, this is information everyone should know before heading to the airport.
