Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001.

We remember the lives lost, the courage of the first responders, and the families forever changed by that day.

Twenty-five years later, we will never forget.

🎁 Auction Find Friday

Sometimes the things that come through our doors are too pretty not to stop and look at.

This week’s auction find is a vintage “Gone with the Wind” style parlor lamp, featuring matching floral glass, an ornate metal base and that unmistakable oversized shade.

These electric lamps were inspired by the elaborate oil lamps of the Victorian era and became popular decorative pieces in American homes during the 20th century.

Another unique auction find packed up at Ship It Sooner and headed to its new home.

Before your phone fit in your pocket, sometimes it came with the car.

These vintage mobile phones recently came through Ship It Sooner from an auction. Car phones became one of the early ways people could take telephone service on the road—long before smartphones made that seem completely ordinary.

Just another interesting piece of technology making its way from the auction house to a new home.

This week's find is a vintage Universal accordion, dating to approximately the 1950s–1960s.
Universal accordions were made in Castelfidardo, Italy, a town famous for its accordion-making tradition and one of the world's major centers of accordion production.
This one recently passed through Ship It Sooner on its way from the auction house to its new home.
You never quite know what piece of history is going to come through the door.

64 KB of memory. That’s it.

The Commodore 64 debuted in 1982 and became one of the most iconic home computers of its era.

This one recently came through Ship It Sooner with its original box, user’s guide, and paperwork still together.

For a lot of people, this was their first computer — and probably the source of more than a few late nights.
