This classic is currently in the hangar getting some well-deserved attention. We’re in the process of replacing the control cables to keep everything running safely and smoothly.

It may be grounded for now, but it’ll be back in the air soon—better than ever.

Our Cessna is just about complete, and the transformation has been incredible. The new avionics and panel are fully installed, and now we’re in the final phase, putting everything back together and buttoning it up.

This bird is now equipped with:

• EDM 900 Engine Monitor

• GTN 650Xi
• GNC 215 NAV/COM
• GTX 345 Transponder
• GFC 500 Autopilot

Another exciting project is underway in this Piper Meridian ✈️

We’re in the beginning stages of a full panel upgrade—stripping things down and getting everything prepped for a major avionics transformation. It’s always impressive to see the aircraft at this stage, where every wire, connection, and component is carefully mapped out before the new system comes to life.

This Meridian will be receiving:
• Garmin GFC 600 autopilot
• Garmin GI 275 standby instrument
• Garmin GEA 71B engine interface upgrade
• Engine data integration to the Garmin GDU 700 for advanced monitoring

All of this will be seamlessly incorporated into the existing Garmin G500 system, giving this aircraft enhanced performance, reliability, and situational awareness.

From a panel full of wiring to a fully integrated flight deck—this is where the transformation begins. Stay tuned as we bring this one to life.

Behind the scenes on this Mooney ✈️

We’re in the final stages on this one and it’s all starting to come together.

Today we’re powder coating and etching the panel — one of those steps that really brings everything to life and gives it that clean, finished look.

✈️ It’s an exciting day out at Davis Field Aviation!

We’ve got something special happening! Tora! Tora! Tora! is in town practicing for an upcoming air show. While they don’t have a scheduled show here, we have the incredible privilege of watching them take to the skies right here at our airport!

If you’re in the area over the next couple of days, we’d love for you to come out and catch a glimpse of these historic aircraft in action. It’s not something you see everyday, and it’s definitely worth the stop!

Our hangar is looking a little different right now. ✈️

It’s currently full of some smaller single-engine aircraft, and we’ve been busy working behind the scenes getting one of our latest projects dialed in — a Mooney M20J upgrade.

This aircraft is getting a major avionics refresh, including:
