It depicts the historical evolution of the squadron's aircraft—highlighting the leased MD900/902 "Enforcer" (MH-90) used during the 1999 "proof of concept" phase, the sleek Agusta MH-68A "Stingray" flown in the 2000s, and the modern Eurocopter MH-65 "Dolphin" dominating the foreground with a precision marksman stationed at the open cabin door. I am halfway through my book "Cow Wrangler's Union". I figured with all the ALIEN talk with the release of the UFO files now is a good time. I don't believe in little green men but I have fun with the notion. I just fined this painting for the cover. It will be less than 200 pages and I am setting the stage for a grand comedy.

Memorial print for the Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival. AST2 Tyler Jaggers will be memorialized this year during festival events!

Aviation Survival Technician Second Class (AST2) Tyler Jaggers (Rescue Swimmer No. 1087) served with profound distinction at Coast Guard Air Station Astoria, completely embodying the sacred rescue swimmer creed: "So Others May Live." After joining the Coast Guard in January 2022, Tyler initially served aboard the USCG Cutter Legare, where he was recognized by the Secretary of Homeland Security for superior performance during intense operations in the Caribbean Sea. He reported to Air Station Astoria in April 2024, quickly standing out for his relentless operational drive, exceptional performance across missions, and the dedicated mentorship he provided to upcoming rescue swimmer candidates. On February 27, 2026, Tyler was critically injured during a hazardous offshore medical evacuation of a stroke victim from a commercial ship 120 nautical miles west of Cape Flattery, Washington. Following his tragic passing on March 5, 2026, the Commandant of the Coast Guard honored his extraordinary bravery by meritoriously advancing him to Petty Officer Second Class and awarding him the Distinguished Flying Cross—one of the nation's highest awards for heroism in aerial flight—forever cementing his legacy as an exceptional savior and an American hero.

I know it is not the date but I still want to take this moment to remember...

The crew of Coast Guard helicopter CG-6505—Captain Thomas Nelson, Lieutenant Commander Andrew Wischmeier, Petty Officer First Class David Skimin, and Petty Officer First Class Joshua Nichols—represented the very best of the separation of service and sacrifice. Stationed at Air Station Barbers Point in Hawaii, these four dedicated "Guardians" tragically lost their lives on September 4, 2008, when their HH-65 Dolphin helicopter crashed during a night rescue hoist training mission off the coast of Honolulu. The shattering loss deeply affected the tight-knit Coast Guard community, but it was their families who bore the heaviest burden of this ultimate sacrifice. In the wake of the tragedy, the Coast Guard Foundation established the Fallen Heroes Fund to provide immediate and ongoing emergency assistance to the grieving families, ensuring their children were supported through scholarship programs and their loved ones' memories were honored. Decedents' families, like Captain Nelson's daughters and wife, have remained resilient threads within the fabric of the Coast Guard family, forever bound by a legacy of bravery and the enduring support of a grateful nation.

The full armor of God is a brilliant visual metaphor that transforms a first-century Roman legionary’s heavy battle gear into a timeless blueprint for spiritual resilience. At its foundation lies the **Belt of Truth**, buckled tight to anchor the believer’s integrity and hold the entire assembly together, while the iron **Breastplate of Righteousness** shields the vital center of the heart and conscience from moral harm. Beneath them, feet are shod in the rugged, cleated **Sandals of the Gospel of Peace**, providing an unyielding grip to stand firm amidst chaotic terrain. When the battle intensifies, the massive, water-soaked **Shield of Faith** is raised to instantly quench the flaming arrows of doubt and fear, working in tandem with the heavy brass **Helmet of Salvation** to fortify the mind against despair. Finally, the soldier draws the lethal, close-quarters **Sword of the Spirit**—the precise, cutting power of the word of God—completing a vanguard defense designed entirely for facing adversity head-on, moving forward in unified alignment, and standing unbroken.
