We haven’t been doing too many social media posts lately but this definitely warrants one. Yesterday was Ben’s last day at Beach House Boat Rentals. Ben has been working with us for the past 5 summers. He heads back to Clemson University where he is majoring in Forestry and he sadly won’t be returning to us next summer as he will be doing an internship in his field. We are so sad to see him go but so so proud of him. Ben’s always happy. Always smiling. Even while standing in the pouring rain on the dock trying to get the boats back in and those 100 degree days soaked in sweat. Thank you Ben for spending the past 5 summers with us and for helping make Beach House Boat Rentals what it is today. Any future employer will be lucky to have you. We know you will do great things!

Before the craziness of the busy season begins…Every now and again I think it’s nice to show the people behind the boats. This is us! If you’re new here, we are Tommy and Amanda. We are so grateful and excited about the response our business has gotten and we have had many full and busy seasons here in Murrells Inlet. We started our boat rental business in Murrells Inlet, SC and have operated it since 2010. We have 2 locations. One at Wacca Wache Marina on the Intra-coastal Waterway and the other behind Dead Dog Saloon on the Marshwalk in the Inlet. And if you have been following us for awhile, our boys have gotten BIG! You will often see our 3 boys, Brandon, Brody and Braxton at the marina along with our dog, River. (It’s only fitting we named our dog after a body of water.) The boys have been driving boats as long as they can remember, with our youngest on his first boat ride at just 8 days old. We used to vacation here in South Carolina and have since made Murrells Inlet our home. While on vacation here, we had always wished we could rent a boat and enjoy all that the Inlet and Intra-coastal waterway had to offer. Now we are making that dream a reality for other vacationers and locals.

We often get asked what is there to do on the Intra-coastal waterway. Is there anything to see or do? When you rent your own private boat with Beach House Boat Rentals there are sooo many things to do. Ride along the Waccamaw River framed by moss-laden oak and cypress trees for an experience like no other. Stop at Sandy Island, a private island you can only get to by boat for a great place to get off the boat, explore and swim. Take the scenic route and along the ride you will see rice plantations, trunk gates, slave cabins, moss-laden oak trees, turtles, eagles and osprey. Or take a ride all the way to Georgetown and stop for lunch at the historical waterfront restaurants. The possibilities are endless. Give us a call at 843-882-5210
