What an incredible accomplishment. Jeffrey H. of Portland, Tennessee, has officially reached 1 million accident-free miles.

That's roughly the same distance as driving the entire length of Route 66 more than 400 times. Congratulations, Jeffrey, and thank you for setting a great example of safe driving.

CVSA Brake Safety Week is another opportunity to reinforce the importance of thorough inspections, recognizing potential brake issues and addressing concerns before hitting the road. Staying proactive helps keep our drivers and everyone around them safe.

This year, there is a focused inspection effort on drums and rotors. Inspectors throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico will be targeting signs of neglect such as cracked rotors, contaminated drums, dragging pigtails and heat-stressed disc brakes.

👀 Be prepared by conducting a full visual and functional brake inspection! Look for rotor cracks, heat glazing, and drum contamination. Verify that linings meet minimum thickness, air systems hold pressure and hoses and fittings are secure and leak-free.💪

A big congratulations to Chad M. of Cleveland, Tennessee, for reaching 1 million accident-free miles.

To put this milestone into perspective, driving 1 million miles at an average of 60 mph would take more than 16,600 hours behind the wheel. Congratulations, Chad, on this outstanding accomplishment.
