I did a blog post about things to do in St. Louis but I mentioned in the post that I never actually stay there. We stay in Franklin County, MO. As a result, we get to experience the city and small towns when we visit. One of my favorite towns to visit is Washington, MO. It's a 10-15 drive from where we stay in Union, MO. They also have the nearest Starbucks so we travel there frequently when visiting. Washington is a little bigger than Union with about 15,000 residents.

Calling all waterfall lovers! Located in Spencer, TN you can find Fall Creek Falls State Park. I've been going to this park since I was a child. It's about 1.5 hours from Nashville, TN. The hike is a 2.4 mile loop that took about 1.5 hours to complete. Make sure you bring appropriate shoes if you plan to hike to the falls. The terrain gets incredibly rocky.

One park I would like to discover further is the South Cumberland State Park. It's a massive and picturesque Tennessee state park on the Cumberland plateau. This is one hike that doesn't involve water or waterfalls for that matter. The drive there was almost 2 hours, way outside of my partner's acceptable radius. He went anyway. The Stone Door Trail is a 1.8-mile out and back that takes about 45 minutes to complete....

The Five Senses Restaurant is located in Murfreesboro, TN. Which happens to also be my hometown. If you want an interactive, fine dining experience eat at the kitchen bar at Five Senses Restaurant. I had the most delicious glass(es) of a Vinho Verde that I cannot recall the brand of right now. We munched on a Charcuterie plate and cornbread muffins with butter as our starters....

I just want to give a quick update regarding Pretty Things by Twyla. I've made the decision to stop production and close my Etsy shop indefinitely to focus on another project. While I enjoy working with resin, I have other passions that have consumed my attention. My Facebook and Instagram pages will remain and will be converted for my new project. I appreciate each of you and hope you will continue to stick along for my next adventure. 💖
