Tallow is the product of choice for seasoning and lubricating the oar and gaff jaw leathers as well as the thole pin pads. Launching expected within the near future.

We spent 3 days last week at the Neville Public Museum in Green Bay, WI, taking the lines of two Dan Kidney and Sons sporting boats--one was a hunting skiff and the other a duckboat, both well designed and built. The former was built in 1895 and the latter in the 1920's. The company closed its doors in about 1960. Regionally famous, it shipped its boats throughout the country. We enjoyed ourselves

While active, we have been "behind the scenes" relative to Facebook posts and will strive to do better. Our tallow products continue to go out the door and into the hands of oarspersons and sailors and that's much appreciated! We are pleased--and relieved--to have found a reliable local source for the natural diet-raised beef suet that's the basis for this product.

The Poseidon Sliding Seat System continues to do what it does best: Propel good rowboats across the finish line.
Case in point is Nate Rooks placing well in this year's Seventy48 race (Tacoma to Port Townsend, WA) in one of Clint Chase's Drake Race 20-footers installed with a
Poseidon. He completed the 70 mile course in 14 hours
19 minutes, placing 11th overall, 3rd solo, and 1st self-built
boat. Nate will be competing again in 2019, joined by his friend Tim Smith who will be in a Poseidon-equipped Drake Race 18.

The Hands-on-Deck-built "Mary" arrived at our shop yesterday for painting and fitting out prior to sea trials. She is a replica of a 17 foot Mackinaw rowboat built at J Wells Church's boatyard on Sugar Island (upper St Mary's River) in 1885. It's a privilege to have a hand in this effort! We will keep you posted.
