Imagine not leaving your house for months (not because you don’t want to but because you don’t have a ride and don’t HAVE to go out)! Then one day in August you finally get out for a doctors appointment (woohoo the doctor🙄). ….But the sun is shining bright and you get to see what’s going on in town, you’ve kinda forgotten what it even looks like outside your walls and yard. So you see the doctor, get a good report and then when passing McDonald’s you mention how much you love it and the driver says you can stop if you want! 🥳😁You get two Big Mac’s so you can have one when you get home and one another day or maybe later . The ride is finished up at Walgreens and you get some of your favorite snacks/treats🍨🍪….
DAY IS MADE!!🤗You thank the driver a million times because this has been the most WONDERFUL DAY EVER!!😊🙂😃 You can’t quit smiling, you might be worn out from all the in and out of the car but the food in the bags that you haven’t had in forever will keep you from noticing how tired you are. You’ll be on cloud nine for a couple days.

🚗MILESTONE REACHED!!🥳Our 5 MyRide programs in First TN Area have completed 20,000 rides!!! That is 20,000 times a senior adult has been able to go support a local business in the community or take care of their health, in a safe, affordable and comfortable manor, without feeling like a burden to a family member. THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEERS! THIS WOULDN'T BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT YOU❤️

Sheriff Tester would like to make the public aware of a scam where a male subject is calling residents inside the county advising that he is representing the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office as Deputy Ryan Curd. The caller is then advising that there is a failure to appear warrant for you (the victim) and you will be arrested unless you pay a certain dollar amount.

This is a scam!! No one from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office will call to tell you that you have a warrant. We also do not have a Ryan Curd that works for this Office.

Please be aware and be cautious.
