The winds from winter’s first blow slowed and then fell to calm and then finally went magically silent. The arctic winds pulled moisture from Lake Michigan and the Manitou Passage, and the snow landed deep and heavy and all beautiful on Leelanau. A want to wander through winter seemed to wait just long enough to include my tracks.
