Come visit A Golden Ride at the MUSC Senior Expo this Thursday! Presented in partnership with Trident Area Agency on Aging and Low Country Senior Network.

Date: March 27, 2025

Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Location: Charleston Area Convention Center

All seniors, families, caregivers and service providers are invited to attend this free event to learn about some outstanding resources available in the Lowcountry.

Top MUSC physicians and researchers will be on-site to offer complimentary health screenings, including fall risk assessments, bone density, and hearing screenings. The Expo will also feature live, interactive presentations throughout the day, and exhibitors will be available to help seniors and their families navigate everything from moving to financial planning.

Admission and parking are free and there will be parking lot shuttles.

This is always a delicate subject. One tip we recommend is ask your love one to take your somewhere as they drive. As a passenger, you will likely determine very quickly if they are safe to drive or there is an issue. Many times, they will refuse you being a passenger since they know they shouldn't be driving. The good news is you may find they are still a great driver!

Some people are able to continue driving in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease, but it requires ongoing evaluation to ensure safety.
