Lower Anthracite Transit System (LATS) LATS is a fixed route bus system. Senior Citizens over the age of 65 ride free with LATS ID card.

Lower Anthracite Transit System provides public transportation services to our communities. LATS is a “fixed route” service that operates along fixed routes of travel on specific time schedules. The stops shown on the schedule are designed to help customers plan when they should be at a particular location in order to catch their bus. In addition, LATS riders can flag down an LATS bus along the travel route where it is safe to do so.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our friend and longtime partner, Billy Milbrand
Billy was far more than one of LATS' valued subcontractors. He was a trusted partner, a friend, and someone who genuinely cared about our mission and the people we serve. His dedication, professionalism, and unwavering support helped strengthen LATS in countless ways over the years.
Billy's kindness, integrity, and willingness to go above and beyond will never be forgotten. He believed in what we do, and his commitment to our organization and our community made a lasting impact that will continue to be felt for years to come.
On behalf of everyone at LATS, we extend our deepest condolences to Billy's family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. We are grateful for the time we shared with him and for the legacy he leaves behind.
Billy, thank you for your friendship, your partnership, and the difference you made in our lives. You will be deeply missed, and you will always be a part of the LATS family.
Rest in peace.
