We’re wrapping up our Driver Appreciation Week spotlights with Chris Metcalf from our Dedicated Division! Chris has been driving professionally for 3 years and has been with Synchronized for about 4 months.

His love for trucking started when he was young, riding with his uncle and getting inspired to eventually drive a truck himself.

This evening we’re shining the spotlight on Robby Johnson from our Dedicated Division! Robby has been driving professionally for 8 years, 2.5 years with Synchronized, and his love of traveling is what helped lead him to a career behind the wheel.

A little more about Robby:

* Go-to road snacks: Granola bars, fruit & the occasional Snickers
* Drinks: Water & Dr. Pepper
* On the radio: Christian & Gospel music
* Off the road: Spending time with his family and attending church

Today’s Driver Spotlight is a little different because we’re featuring an incredible team owner-operator duo: Ken & Tammy Raber! They spend their days on the road together, and after hearing their answers, it’s easy to see that they’re not just partners in trucking-they’re best friends, too.

Ken

Ken has been driving professionally for 31 years and has been with Synchronized for 3 years. His love for trucking started early, following his dad around as he drove and eventually finding himself behind the wheel.

* Go-to snacks: SkinnyPop & a Yellow Lemonade Monster
* On the radio: Country music
* Off the road: Riding his Harley, jumping in the side-by-side, or just hanging out with his wife — “No matter what it will be with the wife.” ❤️
* Favorite thing about Synchronized: The closeness and family atmosphere

Tammy

Tammy has been driving for 13 years and has been with Synchronized for 4 years. She got into trucking after getting tired of being stuck inside four walls and she hasn’t looked back!

* Go-to snacks: Salted caramels & Mountain Dew
* On the radio: Everything from gospel to hard rock, depending on her mood 🎶
* Off the road: Spending time with Ken, whether they’re riding bikes, taking the side-by-side out, or camping
* Favorite thing about A2B: The family atmosphere

Tammy summed it up perfectly:

Alex’s love for trucks started when he was a kid, and that eventually led him to making a career out of driving!

This one is extra special! Today we’re highlighting Keith Ayers from our Dedicated Division — our most senior driver! Keith has been driving professionally for an incredible 33 years, and he’s spent 18 years and 9 months of that time with us. 👏

Keith originally came to Synchronized for the dedicated runs, and nearly 19 years later, he’s still here!

A little more about Keith:

* Road essentials: Dr Pepper & oatmeal pies
* On the road: Country music and talking to all his friends on the phone 🎶
* Off the road: Spending time at home with family, friends, and his dogs 🐾
* Favorite things about working here: Eddie Williams (founder and owner of A2B Synchronized Logistics) and the dedicated runs!
