Bob wasted no time calling Joan's sorority house, and by chance, Joan was the one who answered the phone. That unexpected moment led to their first date in late 1953 and the beginning of a lifelong partnership.

As if wartime challenges were not enough, disaster struck in 1942 when a massive fire destroyed the Green Bay office and terminal. Parts, tires, and many company records were lost in the blaze. The Pomprowitz family and the LCL team refused to let the setback define them, moving operations back into the family home until a new office and terminal could be built. Their determination showed that resilience has always been part of LCL's story.
