We had a truck that needed to be picked up right around the corner from him, so we paid him to go get it, paid him for the miles, and put him on a brand new truck to get on the road. That is what we do.

There is no circumstance out there we cannot work through with you. We will make it happen. Sometimes it takes a little time, but we get there every single time. They made sure I got here safe and sound. Come check us out for yourself. DM us today.

At Vanner we make sure our people are taken care of. You know how it works in trucking, anything can happen, but we always prepare for that. We have a team specifically watching your location and movement. If you need roadside assistance, a blown tire, or God forbid a small fender bender, things happen in trucking. We are here to help, whether it is on the side of the road, at another shop, or a truck stop.

When you connect to that trailer, make sure your landing gear is all the way up. It is easy to get caught at a railroad track or catch different terrain if it is not fully raised, and that is a problem you do not want. When the truck is sitting, listen to it. Sometimes it tells you something is wrong through simple hints, like air leaks. Pay attention to those little signs before they become big problems. Stetson Burden with Vanny.

That onboard camera is not there to work against you. It is there to help you. I call mine my little helper. She will let you know when you are working too hard, speeding, following too close, or making an improper lane change. Keep that camera clear so she can do her job and help you stay sharp behind the wheel. Technology is another set of eyes looking out for you.

Speeding isn’t just a ticket. It’s a DOT violation that can open the door to a full inspection on your unit. Stay ahead of the game: trip plan, stay ahead of your clock, and communicate with your dispatcher. Let them know when you’re stopping so they can help you stay on time and deliver safely. Discipline on the road protects your CDL and your paycheck.

Inside the truck, safety gear isn’t optional.

Fire extinguisher — check
THREE reflective triangles, not one, not two — check.

If you ever break down, those triangles go out behind the unit to warn other drivers you’re a hazard on the road. And those cables and lines? Nice, neat, tucked away, nothing hanging over the catwalk, nothing loose. Small details, big difference.

Safety first, always.

Here reminding every driver — veteran or rookie — to keep 3 points of contact getting out of that cab. Slick steps in the rain or snow don’t care how many years you’ve been driving. Take the extra 10 seconds, check your tires, and do the tug test EVERY time. Your trailer breaking loose on the highway is not a risk worth taking. Stay safe out there.
