As we celebrate EMS Week, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank all of our EMS members. This is especially meaningful as it is our first EMS Week since becoming an EMS department.
Thank you to every member for your hard work, dedication, training, and commitment to serving our community. Whether responding to emergencies, helping patients, or supporting one another, your efforts do not go unnoticed.
We are proud of what we have already accomplished together and look forward to continuing to grow as a department. Thank you for everything you do for Morning Sun Fire & Rescue and the community we serve.

Our current Fire & Rescue EMS providers:
EMS Service Director/EMT-Jordan Tipps
AEMT- Barb Pealer
EMT-Cody Tisor
EMT- Lisa VanAmerongen
AEMT-Kayla Tipps
EMT-Adrian Silva
And all our volunteer firefighters that answer the call and assist on scene as well! Thank you all for your dedication and commitment to our community!

Happy EMS Week!

🚨 Big Update from Morning Sun Fire 🚨

We’re proud to announce that we have officially completed our transition to Morning Sun Fire & Rescue!
So what does this mean for our community?
Previously, our department responded to EMS (medical) calls primarily when requested by the ambulance for lift assistance. Now, with this transition, our response has been significantly enhanced. Moving forward, our team will be paged at the same time as the ambulance on medical calls, allowing us to arrive sooner and begin assisting right away.
In addition, we now have a fully equipped EMS response vehicle ready with the necessary medical equipment to provide care alongside ambulance crews.
This upgrade also improves coverage for our community. If our primary ambulance is already out on another call, our Fire/EMS vehicle can respond immediately to begin patient care and provide support until another ambulance becomes available.
This transition strengthens our ability to serve you with faster response times, improved care, and greater reliability when you need us most.
As always, we’re committed to protecting and serving the Morning Sun community.

Tonight members of the Morning Sun Ambulance and Morning Sun Fire Department trained on extrication of a patient from a simulated vehicle accident. Members learned different techniques for removing a patient safely, as well as different ways to gain access to a vehicle that has been compromised! Thank you to Delzell Brothers for the donation of the car!
