Morgantown Monongalia Metropolitan Planning Organization The MMMPO aims to improve the region's transportation system and produce a TIP & MTP.

The Morgantown Monongalia MPO is a federally mandated transportation policy-making organization, which is made up of representatives from local government and leaders from transportation authorities in the Morgantown area. The MMMPO is committed to providing leadership to regional transportation planning, promoting personal and social economic prosperity while encouraging sustainable growth.

🚧 Road Closure Alert - Water Street 🚧

Beginning Wednesday, June 10, Morgantown Utility Board will close Water Street at its intersection with Fayette Street near the river.

The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately 90 days while crews complete repairs to the Monongahela River interceptor sewer line. Updates will be provided as work progresses.

The Morgantown Monongalia Metropolitan Planning Organization (MMMPO) is conducting the Greenbelt Complete Streets Feasibility Study to assess the feasibility of improvements for multimodal connections to the planned Morgantown Greenbelt. See the pubilc survey below. It will be open until June 12th.

WVDOH and MMMPO will be holding a joint public meeting on Tuesday from 4:30-6:30 pm at the Met Theatre in Morgantown to gather public input on the Statewide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan and Greenbelt Complete Streets Feasibility Study.

Starting tomorrow, June 2, Ross Street will be closed to through-traffic just below Webster Avenue to allow for road repairs.

Motorists traveling on Grand Street should follow the posted detour route via Grandview Avenue and Sheldon Avenue.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as these improvements are completed. Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling near the work zone.
