Sooo..... We had a thing happen today. We had a ride scheduled for a repeat rider today. As a rule, she is waiting at the door and raring to go! She calls in the morning every time she rides just to make sure we know she is scheduled. She LOVES the safety of riding with us and she is a great communicator!

Today - she is not at the door.
She does not answer when we knock at the door.
She does not answer when we call on the phone.

What does our ZOOM driver do? He springs into action!

He calls our office and our staff set out to find out why!

Because we have a relationship and familiarity with our clients we knew to call her family and neighbor. No answer - but the daughter-in-law was alerted. We called the sheriff's department and ask for a wellness check.

Our friend had fallen. She was unable to get up and had been there for several hours.

What if we were "just a ride"? What if we were not invested in this client? She may still be laying there waiting for help - just hoping someone would come...

ZOOM TO THE RESCUE!

Thank you to our ZOOM staff and to our affiliated Right at Home staff in Morgantown, WV who went the extra mile to make sure our friend was safe and attended to in this time of need!

I am so proud of the work we do and the fantastic job our staff does to care for our clients! They are truly the best!
