The 22’ Sweetwater got a little upgrade!

We removed the large rear storage compartment and replaced it with a comfortable rear-facing seat. This upgrade improves weight distribution while also providing additional seating, increasing the boat’s passenger capacity from 8 to 10!

A simple change that makes a big difference in comfort and functionality for our renters!

As the sun sets on our first summer on Lake Norman, it feels like the perfect time to reflect — but don’t think we’re putting the boats up for the winter anytime soon!

It’s hard to believe our first summer on Lake Norman is already coming to an end. Looking back, what stands out most isn’t the number of rentals or days on the water — it’s the people behind every single booking.

Every reservation had a story behind it. A family spending the day together. Friends reconnecting on the lake. A birthday, a celebration, a vacation, or sometimes just a much-needed day on the water. Getting to meet you, hear what brought you to Lake Norman, and play even a small part in those memories has been one of the most rewarding parts of our first year.

Starting a new business comes with long days, a lot of learning, and plenty of unknowns. But every conversation at the dock, every returning customer, every recommendation to a friend, and every message telling us what a great day you had reminded us why we started doing this.

So when I say thank you, I truly mean it. You were never just another booking on the calendar. You were the people who trusted a new local business with a day that mattered to you — and in doing so, helped make our first year possible.

And a huge thank you to the people behind the scenes who helped make all of those rentals happen. To my crew who helped with getting boats ready, cleaning, fueling, deliveries, pickups, helping customers at the dock, and everything else that goes into keeping things running — I couldn’t have done this season without you. There were plenty of early mornings, late nights, long weekends, and last-minute changes, and I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who stepped up and helped along the way.

We’ve met so many wonderful people this summer, and we’re incredibly grateful that Lake Norman brought our paths together.

Summer may officially be over, but boating season definitely isn’t. We’ll continue offering pontoon and WaveRunner rentals throughout the fall, and we look forward to seeing some familiar faces, and meeting plenty of new ones, out on the water.

Thank you to our customers, our crew, and everyone who supported Lakes Region Marine Services for making our first summer on Lake Norman one we’ll always remember.
