Tuesday is a Bluesday at The Airport Open mic Blues Jam hosted by Blue Bone at The Airport Inn Backline (guitar & bass amps, PA w/mics & drums) provided. Volume should be moderate at most.

**May 8th, 2012**
Bring your guitar, sticks, piano, congas, voice or any other music-making tools and join in the jam at an authentic Roadhouse! Low-key (hopefully not OFF-key...), welcoming environment that uses the blues as an inclusive format that allows musicians that may have never played together before to be able to do so and hopefully, make MUSIC! For everyone's enjoyment, this will be an

EFZ...Ego-Free Zone. Here are a few suggestions:

Please be a respectful player and listener. Song length should also be moderate at most. Be encouraging and communicative with other players. Have fun!

* A locale or situation conductive to misery.
* Bad grammar.
Subject
Good Blues: Treachery, infidelity, your mojo
Bad Blues: Rising interest rates, an impending market correction, the scarcity of good help
Locale
Good Blues: Memphis, the Bayou, prison
Bad Blues: Aspen, Rodeo Drive, Starbucks
Grammar
Good Blues: "My baby done me wrong."
Bad Blues: "My life-partner has been insensitive to my needs."

The alternate weeks
(1st and 3rd Tuesdays) we are trying to do an acoustic open mic. So far, almost no attendance. This is partially due to other venues
having open mics on the same night. This is really getting old. I originally picked Tuesdays so as not to conflict with other open mics. Apparently other open mic hosts feel this is a competition. No sense of cooperation exists. It's like playing louder that the other guy onstage to drown him out. I think it's very close to that.
