Have a ranger with Deaver Suspension Inc. leafs and long shocks? Your driveshaft is probably hitting your gas tank crossmember when it droops out. Our replacement crossmember bolts right into factory rivet holes and has the extra clearance your driveshaft needs to clear. We have one in stock right now and will have a few more soon. 🇺🇸

New intercooler, water pump & tank along with a smaller blower pulley for more oomph. Now we need the belt to stop slipping. Anyone know of a slightly larger idler pulley that will fit on a ranger tensioner before we start getting creative? Tried all available belt sizes until they were too small, along with a new tensioner in case the spring was tired. Still slippin’.

Got the opportunity to redo a bedcage on a ranger, he called and was telling us the rear end was super stiff and had no up-travel, well, we figured out why. There’s not always hard and fast rules for these trucks, and it sounds like the guy who built it (I’m sure with good intentions) was following a lot of “rules” to a T. Like don’t let the springs go negative arch, cycle the bumps with no delrin pads, etc. if the shackles had been flipped prior to them cycling the suspension, it wouldn’t have been as bad. Initially we were going to try to save the main bedcage structure and add some taller upper shock mounts, but I didn’t have it in me to just scab onto what was already here. Trying to keep to the budget, and still make something that will perform properly and keeping things simple was enjoyable. Felt like working on stuff 15 years ago. Made some new spring plates, a new bolt in bedcage for the 16” shocks, added a gas tank crossmember as well, since it was smashing into it at droop, looks like hard enough it was twisting the pinion angle all wonky and it messed up the rear yoke on the aluminum driveshaft. Cant be easy on motor/trans mounts either. All in all, just hoping this will get this truck out in the desert this season for some good clean fun. Sorry for the novel.
