Our warehouse manager, Bill is making his way across Route 66 and sending back some great pictures along the way. From Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo (10 vintage Cadillacs buried nose-first in a Texas field since 1974, each one a fresh canvas for whoever passes through) to the gates of Graceland in Memphis, Bill is hitting the classics on what is arguably America's most iconic stretch of highway.

Route 66 originally ran nearly 2,450 miles from Chicago to Santa Monica, crossing eight states and three time zones. Its diagonal configuration was a turning point for the trucking industry. By 1930, truckers had come to rival the railroads, and Route 66 gave them a faster, flatter route from the Midwest to the Pacific coast. Before that, during the Dust Bowl, it became known as something else entirely the Road to Opportunity, carrying over 200,000 people west in search of a better life. This year also marks its 100th anniversary not a bad time to get out there and drive it.

Summer is officially here, and so is our 2026 intern class! We are so excited to welcome Dean Spenzos, CJ Quinn, Nirek Shah, and Uriel Tirado to the Hermann team this season. These four talented students are diving into work across Drayage & Safety, Sustainability, Finance, and Marketing, and we have a feeling they're going to make a real impact over the next few months.

Their first day set the tone perfectly: a tour of our warehouse operations, lunch out on the patio, and a chance to meet the people who make Hermann Services run every day. Safe to say, the summer is off to a great start!

We love investing in the next generation of logistics and business professionals, and we're thrilled to have this group along for the ride. Welcome aboard, Dean, CJ, Nirek, and Uriel. We can't wait to see what you accomplish!

⭐️Eric keeps our teams connected across three states, and when he's not troubleshooting, he's on the baseball field coaching his two sons.
⭐️Dylan is a driver who rescued a malnourished pup named Anna, and now she rides shotgun and keeps him honest about taking his breaks.
⭐️Helena has been at our New Castle facility for nearly five years, managing a full plate at work while earning her bachelor's degree.
⭐️Glissette, our Driver Manager in Houston, brings the same energy she gives her team of drivers to everything she does outside of work, whether that's spending time with her ten grandchildren or training for a marathon.

Take Your Child to Work Day at Hermann Services was a day to remember!

We were thrilled to open our doors and give the next generation a firsthand look at life in logistics. The day was filled with activities that were as educational as they were entertaining, from a forklift rodeo and warehouse sorting games to mock dispatching challenges and arts and crafts. It was incredible to see the kids engage with our world in such a hands-on way.

The kids also went head-to-head against the South Brunswick Police Department and Fire Department in a tug of war, and let's just say the competition was fierce! We love the relationship we have with our local first responders, and moments like this remind us how lucky we are to be part of such a great community.

Midday, parents joined their kids outside for a cookout with burgers and hot dogs before the fun continued into the afternoon. Between volleyball, outdoor activities, and plenty of laughter, there was never a dull moment. And when the heat kicked in, the fire department came to the rescue by breaking out the hose to cool everyone off. Needless to say, it was a crowd favorite.

Days like this are a reflection of what Hermann Services is all about. We are so grateful to everyone who helped bring it to life and to all the families who joined us. We already can't wait for next year!
