We updated our website in 2024 to provide riders with a simple, user-friendly way to explore routes, find fare info, and get connected to our services. 30 years in, and we're still working to make TriCounty Link run as smoothly as possible!

Our Safety and Training Supervisor, LaTesha Newton, is coming up on two years of service this September!

In her role, LaTesha works to make every TriCounty Link trip runs as safely as possible. She regularly facilitates team training sessions to refresh everyone's skills and holds safety meetings to review safety protocols and best practices. Beyond that, she's always lending a helping hand to her team!

LaTesha has been in public transit for 15 years, starting her career in Florence as a Dispatcher.

When asked what makes TriCounty Link special, she notes that it's the community. "It's like one big family here," LaTesha says. "Without (the team), it wouldn't be TriCounty Link. And the riders too! They are very sweet and appreciative of the service."

It takes an incredible team to keep our community moving. Meet Rhonda Johnson! 🙌

Rhonda joined the TriCounty Link team in 2011 as a Driver. She then progressed to Lead Driver and made it her mission to learn every route within our system. In 2021, Rhonda became the Transit Supervisor, responsible for overseeing all drivers and route performance. In March 2026, she was named Interim General Manager.

Throughout the years, her dedication and passion for her fellow team members and riders have remained steadfast. "I've met some amazing people throughout the years," Rhonda says. "I get the best of the best." She recalls familiar faces who have ridden TriCounty Link until they've retired — a testament to the connections she has built and the quality of service she helps provide.

We appreciate her tireless efforts and the positive impact she continues to make on TriCounty Link. 💙

In 1996, the Macerena was #1, dial-up internet was booming, and TriCounty Link officially hit the road! At the time, we were called the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Rural Transportation Management Association (BCD-RTMA). The name TriCounty Link didn't come until 2007!
