🚧 Traffic alert 🚧
A portion of Perimeter Road at Mobile International Airport (BFM) will be closed Tuesday, February 24 for utility work supporting a new hangar project. Normal traffic is expected to resume Wednesday.

There’s a lot of work happening here that you don’t always see from the air.

At Mobile International Airport, progress continues across the entire site.

This month:
• Major interior spaces in the terminal are taking shape
• Mechanical, electrical, and fire safety systems continue throughout the building
• Exterior insulation and finishes are moving forward
• The parking garage is advancing through power and safety systems
• The elevated roadway is complete, with final site and paving work underway

Every phase adds up.

The “Pledge to Feed” Food Drive officially takes off today! 💙

We’re partnering with Love All Food Pantry and Airbus to help families across Mobile and Baldwin Counties put food on the table. Love All provides groceries to more than 2,500 families each month, sharing 40–50 pounds of nutritious food with every household served.

You can join the effort by donating at either location:

🥫 MAA Administration Building at Brookley (1891 9th Street, near downtown)

Every $10 donation helps provide about 110 pounds of food for neighbors in need.

The Mobile Airport Authority is remembering Matthew S. Metcalfe, a founding member of the Board and former Chairman, whose leadership helped shape the future of our airports and community.

Mr. Metcalfe served the Authority for more than 35 years, guiding it through major milestones including the construction of the M.C. Farmer Terminal at Mobile Regional Airport and the early groundwork that helped bring Airbus to Mobile.

A memorial has been placed at the Matthew S. Metcalfe Concourse at Mobile Regional Airport as a tribute to his decades of service and lasting impact on our organization and the region we serve.
