Reminder: Important Updates to Airport Payment and Billing Procedures ✈️

We would like to inform you of two important changes to airport payment and billing procedures that will take effect in the near future.

Effective May 4th, 2026, the airport will no longer be accepting American Express credit cards as a form of payment. This decision was made due to the high processing fees associated with American Express. The alternative would be to increase the credit card convenience fee for all customers across all City services, and we do not believe that would be the best approach.

Effective April 24th, 2026, the airport will also be discontinuing the option to add fuel transactions to a tenant’s open account. Moving forward, fuel purchases will need to be paid for at the time of the transaction through the accepted payment methods available.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to manage costs and maintain fair and consistent practices.

Join us Saturday, March 14 at the Mineral Wells Regional Airport for a special Fly-In honoring our community’s rich military legacy.
Enjoy historical displays, aircraft, food, and more — plus a ceremony and fly-over at 10 AM. Helicopter rides will also be available (weather permitting, first-come basis).
Bring the family and help us honor the past while celebrating Mineral Wells’ aviation future. Co-sponsored by the Fort Wolters Historical Commission.
