Awesome post about our beauty! Thank you!

The 54 ft fishing vessel Paulette on her way to Milwaukee. She is just stunning considering she just turned 86. Yep spending her younger years plying her trade on Lake Erie, now to live out her remaining years as a house boat. Safe travels Captain

Quick little jaunt up the river and she's in her resting place for the winter! She also gets to share the river with this big lady!! It's been a long journey. Glad she's safe! Thanks to all the marinas and people who made this trip possible!!

When they were fishing Paulette, this compartment would be filled by a pump and heated by the exaust pipe so they had hot water to wash the deck. It also acted as a radiator to heat the boat. My buddy Todd found it usefull to toast his bread as well!!

Hey guys. Ryan here. Laura is way better at posting then me apparently. So we ended up going along the north coast of Michigan and then up the west coast to avoid the weather. According to every weather app and NOAA, the lake was supposed to lay down after 8. Well mother nature had other ideas. 20 hours of 3 to 5's with the occasional 7' to keep us on our toes. Paulette took them like a champ and we eventually pulled in to Sturgeon Bay and gave her a rest. Only casualty was 1 fuel filter. Here are some pictures I took while I wasn't grabbing the wheel and wall. We will go up and bring her to Milwaukee when the lake calms down. Thanks to those who checked in to make sure that we made it safe since I was slacking on my updates!!

Ryan will continue the adventure today with a couple of our friends. I unfortunately cannot go this time because I'm on call and need to be readily available for the answering service. Either way, they will be leaving Mackinaw and heading down the MI coast towards Charlevoix, Leland, Glen Arbor and possibly Frankfort. It will depend when they decide to cross to WI side. Ryan will keep you all posted. Here are some random pictures from our last trip.

Some of you have asked for interior pictures. Here are some with all of our stuff scattered about.

Monday's trip was a long 14 hour trip from Harrisville to Mackinaw City. Water God's were good to us. Ryan even got to nap. 😂 Beautiful drive all the way. Lots of lighthouses. Beautiful sunset and another crazy orange moon. The Mackinaw Bridge was so pretty with all its lights. With the forecast looking not so favorable for the next week, we are leaving her in Mackinaw and driving home. Hopefully we can be back within a week to finish bringing her home.

Yesterday (Sunday) we left Port Sanilac and headed to Harrisville. All was going well for 2 hours then we hit the Saginaw Bay and literally everything, including us, were thrown around with the waves. We had about 8 hours of that. I love boating, but cannot handle the exaggerated rocking. 🤢 Ryan was fine. Lol. Not many pictures, but Ryan took some. There was another beautiful sunset and a crazy orange moon.

Saturday we really didn't want to go too far after all the repairs so Jay recommended Port Sanilac for a stop before heading across the Saginaw Bay. Thanks Jay for the pictures of us as we were heading out! Took us about 4 hours and Paulette did great. A nice hot shower was exactly what was needed. 😂 We had some amazing food at the Stone Lodge and went to this cool place called Allibar. So unique! There was a great band. We met the owner and her brother. Very cool people. Be sure to check these 2 places out if ever in the area. We want to drive back and stay with friends at some point.

Friday we got up with the intention to head to Harrisville, MI, although Paulette had other plans. Ryan ended up being in the engine room all day. We are extremely thankful for Jay and all the staff at Jay's Marine Supply and Desmond Marine. They were all so helpful, kind and accommodating. Definitely hit them up if in the area! We ended up staying another night there. What a cool town!

Our adventure began Thursday morning when we left Anchor Point marina (Toledo, Ohio area). After fueling up we got stuck in the channel. 😂 I can laugh about it now because we did get out. Our first stop we were heading to was Port Huron. We estimated a 10 hour trip and it actually was a 14 hour trip. Boy, were we tired! Saw some huge freighters along the way. It was cool going through the Detroit river with the U.S. on one side and Canada on the other. Had a beautiful sunset. And mastered our first docking.
