A great bus operator does more than get riders to where they need to go.

While driving the CONNECT 1, MCTS Operator Alfonso A. noticed a person who is blind needed help crossing the street to board another bus. He safely guided the passenger using proper sighted-guide technique he learned in training, helped them board, and made sure they were settled before returning to his route.

A rider who witnessed the moment shared:

"That driver didn't just do a great thing, he did it in the best possible way and with a cheerful countenance."

Thank you, Alfonso, for going above and beyond to make our community more accessible, one ride at a time.

POV: You're four years old and every bus ride is an adventure.

Sometimes it takes seeing things through the eyes of a child to remind us that public transit isn’t just about getting somewhere. It’s about discovering what’s along the way. 🚌✨

Thank you to the City of Milwaukee for hosting yesterday's Vision Zero Summit and Mobility Fair.

Our team had a great time connecting with attendees, sharing transit resources, and leading a CONNECT 1 Bus Rapid Transit tour. The tour gave participants a firsthand look at how BRT is helping build a safer, more connected transportation network in Milwaukee County. 🚌

We appreciate everyone who stopped by our table, explored our bus, or joined us for the tour. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of the conversation on safer streets for all.

One moment of awareness made all the difference.

Thanks to MCTS Operator Yanitza R., a runaway 14-year-old girl in distress is now safe.
