A heartfelt thank you to participants and volunteers for helping make our Bus Roadeo event a success! By challenging bus operators to demonstrate their precision driving skills, this professional development opportunity strengthens their abilities and promotes safer, more reliable service for our community.

We’re grateful to our generous sponsors who made this event possible. While Bus Roadeos are common throughout the U.S. to reinforce safe driving practices, the last one held by MCTS was 44 years ago.

We came back strong and look forward to the next opportunity to recognize the skill, professionalism, and dedication of our bus operators!

MCTS Operator Robert G. received a huge shout out from a Route 33 rider for being reliable, courteous, and going above and beyond. Robert will wait for riders, if he sees them crossing the street and is always kind to everyone.

Did you know that MCTS gives 25 million rides per year?

That means that riders are being connected with jobs, medical appointments, grocery stores, recreation, and so much more! In addition to that 25 million, MCTS also gives more than 385,000 Paratransit riders per year.

We’re so proud to provide such an essential service to Milwaukee County!

There are less than two weeks left to fill out the survey for MCTS Forward!

Last week we had great conversations about the future of public transit in Milwaukee County with riders at Marquette University, Milwaukee Regional Medical Center, Milwaukee Public Library – Zablocki and Center Street Branches, Wilson Park Senior Center, County Budget Town Halls and on MCTS routes 35, 51 and 74. We also joined the Greater Milwaukee Committee, Mobilise Fall Summit and Intergovernmental Cooperation Council of municipal leaders speaking to civic leaders about how a network redesign can address budget challenges.

We enjoyed hearing so many thoughtful questions and ideas. You can fill out the survey until October 26. Visit RideMCTS.com/MCTSForward to read about the bus network redesign and take the survey.
